English newspaper “The Sun” reported that manager Arsene Wenger has plans to add 24-year Colombian forward, who plays that country for Wigan.
The player is wanted by several teams, including Liverpool, Aston Villa and now Arsenal, a club that would offer 10 million pounds for the services of the Colombian international.
According to The Sun, ” Arsenal’s boss was impressed with Rodallega, who has scored nine goals in the Premiership for Wigan.”
The paper even said that Roberto Martinez, Wigan’s manager, was thinking in the Espanyol striker José Callejón to replace Rodallega.
Wigan stands in the 16th position and will face Portsmouth this weekend, a direct rival in the battle for avoiding relegation.
My two cents:Â Rodallega has shown throughout his career that he hasn’t been inferior to any challenge. However, Arsenal has a long list of strikers and many more are targeted so his chances of being a starter are slim. He would be better at Liverpool.
